(WXYZ) – David Elkus, owner of Baron’s Wholesale Clothiers in Farmington Hills and Todd’s Menswear in Royal Oak, Michigan, announced the launch of Suitember, a national partnership for men’s suits across the country.

To raise awareness of this month-long celebration, Elkus has created a SUITEMBER website, www.suitember.com, which contains the history of suits and the top reasons for wearing suits. Some of these reasons are to look better, more powerful, and more respectable; the ability to express oneself; feel better; and work more efficiently. Suitember is designed to highlight both the benefits of good clothing and the support of local charities in the community of each business. In the Michigan community, the Friendship Circle charity will be in West Bloomfield.

Customers who mention The Friendship Circle will have 10 percent of their purchases donated to the organization. The aim of the Friendship Circle is to create friendships in the life of people with special needs and of people who are isolated. Its greatest achievement is introducing hundreds of high school and college volunteers to people with special needs. Todd’s Menswear, a long-standing “must-shop” for fashion-conscious, value-conscious men, is holding a trade-in-trade-up event for Suitember. Customers get discounts on a fresh new suit with every beloved suit they trade in. The carefully used suites go to St. John’s Church. Please visit suitember.com for more information.
