The company, which manufactures BharatBenz trucks and buses, recorded truck wholesale sales of 9,624 units in 2020.

“Despite supply chain headwinds, rising input costs, rising fuel prices and the impact of the pandemic, we ended the year with domestic wholesale sales up 48 percent and delivered the highest growth in exports of trucks, buses and parts ever,” said DICV Executive Director and CEO, Satyakam Arya, said in a statement.

Exports of trucks and buses totaled 9,073 units in 2021 compared to 4,680 units in 2020, a growth of 93.87 percent.

Arya said that DICV and ‘BharatBenz’ will complete 10 years in the Indian market in 2022 and the company is poised for “sustained growth this year”.

DICV said it has continued to expand the sales and service network for BharatBenz across India, surpassing 270 touchpoints in the past year. It further expands network presence to multi-tier markets in India.
