Michael ZagarisAfter a big 41-33 win in week one against the Detroit Lions, the San Francisco 49ers will be looking for their second straight win to open the 2021 NFL season on Sunday when they face the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles, who also won the season opener, are not easy to beat. They have their weaknesses, but sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts looked even and improved in his first performance of the season.
The 49ers saw an excellent quarterback game from Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 1. He completed 17 of his 25 pass attempts for 314 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions. Trey Lance also completed the first pass of his NFL career on a 5-yard touchdown.
Unfortunately, the week 1 win for the 49ers was not without a major loss. Raheem Mostert suffered a knee injury and has since opted for an end-of-season operation. San Francisco will need the other running backs on the roster to advance in their absence.
San Francisco will be looking to upgrade their defense in Week 2. Giving 33 points to Lions and almost losing a big head start needs to be fixed. Thankfully, they have the talent on their list to fix the issues they faced last week.
After all of that, let’s take a look at how to tune in and watch the game this Sunday.
