Johnson Controls 38-year veteran Jeff Williams retires as President of Global Products

CORK, Ireland, July 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Johnson Controls (NYSE:JCI), the world leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, today announced this 38-year company veteran jeff williams retires and the world is looking for his successor. William’s successor will inherit a group of companies that makes up roughly more than a third of Johnson Controls $24 billion Annual turnover including product development and research & development.

Williams started at Johnson Controls in 1984 as a Sales Account Manager and spent more than 30 years in the automotive business before taking over leadership of the Global Products business in 2019. He co-authored the Johnson Controls Manufacturing Systems operating system and still directs the company’s global operations today.

Within Global Products, in addition to leading the HVAC/R and Residential businesses, a key focus of Williams’ successor will be leading the fire, security and controls teams that are at the heart of the transformation of building operational technology. Applying advanced solutions leveraging machine learning increases the capacity for ultra-accurate detection insights, increasingly efficient responses, and proactive error reporting.
