Mizzou selected for the Armed Services Bowl against the Army


COLUMBIA, Missouri (Edited Press Release) – University of Missouri Football has accepted an invitation to attend the 2021 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Tigers will meet on December 22nd (7:00 p.m. Kick, ESPN) at TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium on Army West Point.

Mizzou, 6-6 this season, has made his 35th bowl game ever. The Tigers are 15 to 18 in total in bowl games after advancing to the 2020 TransPerfect Music City Bowl, which was canceled due to the effects of COVID-19.

The Black Knights, who play as FBS Independent, are 8-3 in the season with one game in the regular season. The annual Army-Navy game will be played at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, December 11th (2 p.m. CT).

The Tigers are 3-1 ahead of the Black Knights, who last won 23-10 in Columbia on September 11, 1982. Mizzou last faced a service academy in the 2009 Texas Bowl and is 9-4 all-time against the Division I service academies.

Second year head coach Eliah Drinkwitz is 8-0 in bowl games during his coaching career.


Tickets for the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl 2021 are available now. Mizzou will be the visiting team and will occupy the western sideline on match day. All Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl tickets will be mobile via the AXS Tickets app.

Tickets can be purchased by all fans, including members of the Tiger Scholarship Fund, students, and the general public. Seat assignments are assigned based on TSF encoder level and priority points. Fans are strongly advised to order tickets online to avoid long waiting times on the phone or in person at the athletics ticket office.
