// MusicMagpie will be launching its devices on the Back Market online marketplace this month
// Back Market is an online marketplace for the resale of refurbished equipment
MusicMagpie has announced that it will start selling its electronic devices baking market, the online marketplace for refurbished devices.
The products will launch on Back Market’s UK marketplace by the end of this month and on Back Market’s US website in mid-May. The agreement between the two companies includes the sale of mobile phones as well as items such as gaming consoles, tablets and MacBooks.
According to MusicMagpie, the move will provide an additional sales channel for the retailer, complementing existing sales through its own websites, as well as on Amazon and eBay.
Paris-based Back Market, founded in 2014, is an online marketplace dedicated to the resale of refurbished devices, matching buyers with third-party sellers.
It has six million customers in 16 countries and aggregates approved sellers, while unlike MusicMagpie it doesn’t buy or hold stock or do the refurbishment process itself.
Steve Oliver, MusicMagpie CEO and Co-Founder, said: “MusicMagpie and Back Market operate complementary models and share a common mission to challenge consumers to reconsider their consumption of tech products, mainstream refurbished devices and the growing e-waste problem to tackle
“This is therefore an exciting partnership that will help MusicMagpie’s products reach a wider audience and provide more choice for Back Market users. We look forward to working with Back Market, which we are confident will be a long and fruitful relationship.”
