Roland unveils a unique retail experience with the new “Roland Store” | Nation / world

LOS ANGELES – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Nov. December 2021–

Roland is proud to announce an expanded “Roland Store” experience at select retailers in the US and worldwide. Roland has developed a new technology for the stores under the brand “Audience Specific Experience ASX”, which controls light, video and audio in the rooms and can be adapted to the environment to suit the tastes of the individual customer at the push of a button. Roland introduced the technology in 2020 and currently operates ten of the new store formats worldwide, with expansion into new markets planned for 2022. With retail bounce back, and 45% of US consumers say they’ll be looking for gifts in-store, and the important Generation Z cohort who are adding time in-store this holiday season has never been more relevant. As retailers continue to compete with ecommerce sites, Roland knows this experience will help them continue to build relationships with in-store consumers. The new Roland store-in-stores offer full-time Roland product experts, hands-on demonstrations and access to the full Roland and BOSS product catalogs. They also show how Roland and BOSS products can help consumers learn, create and perform music.

“Retailers continue to look for new ways to connect with their customers as they adjust to in-store shopping this holiday season,” said Corin Birchall, Roland Global Retail Operations Manager. “With Roland’s Audience Specific Experience ASX, anyone entering Roland stores can enjoy music, lighting and screen content that is tailored to their own needs. We’re excited to expand this enhanced retail experience to more retailers around the world, so that both consumers and their dependent sales teams can benefit. “

In 2001 Roland opened its first store-in-store in the UK and later expanded across Europe and Japan with the aim of providing customers with the best physical experience, product knowledge and after-sales support. Since 2020, Roland has been using new technology, access to the entire range of Roland and BOSS products, the complete BPM Supreme music library for testing DJ controllers, free individual training sessions with a Roland product specialist and more. Retailers opening Roland stores typically double their sales of Roland and BOSS products, with many also posting significant increases overall in categories such as piano, synthesizer and drums.

We are really grateful to Roland for the honor and privilege of being the flagship of the Roland Store. “

“The growth in convenient online shopping has put pressure on physical retailers to do more than just offer product inventory. Increasingly, customers are looking for a shopping spree to excite, discover, learn, and purchase products. As a company known for innovating and developing tomorrow’s technologies in the music world, it seemed appropriate that we also develop the retail experience of the future, ”said Gordon Raison, Roland’s chief sales and marketing officer.
