The Scottish Wholesale Association is working with efficiency specialists The Algorithm People and Auditel to continue their efforts to reduce emissions in the wholesale industry.
Newcastle-based company The Algorithm People specializes in route optimization, fleet planning and electric vehicle optimization, while Auditel focuses on carbon reduction and cost management.
As part of the new partnership with SWA, members will receive discounted access to The Algorithm People’s award-winning My Transport Planner fleet optimization platform, which uses algorithms to increase efficiency through routing and scheduling vehicle deliveries and pickups.
The company said customers using the platform have experienced improved productivity, lower fuel costs and lower emissions of around 20%.
Auditel will also work with SWA members to help them achieve sustainable change and carbon reduction through its expertise in sourcing and carbon management.
Both companies will participate in a special SWA webinar on August 31 aimed at helping members cut costs and reduce carbon emissions.
“Our association is committed to supporting our members on their journey to a greener future, so we’re excited to partner with The Algorithm People,” said SWA CEO Colin Smith.
“Auditel is already working with SWA members and during the webinar they will demonstrate success stories of how they have helped organizations reduce carbon emissions, save costs and drive greater efficiencies across multiple areas of their business.
“The goal of the webinar is to not only help members navigate their journey towards net zero, but fund them from within the organization through our cost savings and sourcing solutions.”
