This provides our employees and students with convenient parking, restaurants and outdoor experiences. We appreciate the support we receive longtime partner of Barclays to make this happen. “
A historic property
Tech Impact spent several months looking for a new location before settling on the B&O Station building. Originally designed by a respected architect and civil war leader Frank Furness In 1887 the property stood empty for much of the 20th century until ING Direct (Capital One) converted it into a conference center for executives in 2004.
With support from the Barclays Scholarship, Tech Impact invested in an interior freshening up and outfitted the building with new carpets, colors and signage, as well as new student desks and tables made by trainees in the local Challenge program.
